Tasks & responsibilities

  • Design the electrical aspect of the machinery;
  • Carry out various research on electrical components;
  • Prepare electrical drawings, plans for electrical panels;
  • Issue list of materials to the purchasing department;
  • Participate in the final electrical tests and execute changes to electrical drawings;
  • Correct or adjust machine cables and modify the electrical drawings;
  • Inform the Director of Electrical Engineering of all problems that occur;
  • Prepare documentation for CSA certification;
  • All other related tasks;



  • DEC in electrical engineering;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an electrical designer in a manufacturing environment;
  • Master the interpretation  and design of electrical drawings;
  • Good knowledge of electrical control components: PLC, HMI, Variable speed, pressure sensor, temperature sensor, inductive sensor (eg ABB, Allen Bradley, Omron, Balluff, …);
  • Master CAD software (Solidedge is an asset);
  • Master Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.);
  • Experience with ERP/MRP software;
  • Knowledge of industry standards: CSA, UL, NEMA, NFPA, ISA ;
