Electrical Engineer / Industrial Electrical Systems Designer

Tasks & responsibilities


  • Design electrical panel schemes dedicated to extrusion machinery;
  • Research and select electrical components;
  • Issue list of materials to the purchasing department;
  • Participate in the final electrical tests and execute changes to electrical drawings;
  • Correct or adjust machine cables and modify the electrical drawings;
  • Download the program into the PLC;
  • Debug the electrical panels;
  • Prepare documentation for CSA certification;
  • Support the panel assemblers;
  • All other related tasks;



  • BAC in electrical engineering ;
  • 2 years of experience as an electrical designer in a manufacturing environment;;
  • Master the interpretation  and design of electrical schemes;
  • Good knowledge of electrical control components: PLC, HMI, Variable speed, pressure sensor, temperature sensor, inductive sensor (eg ABB, Allen Bradley, Omron, Balluff, …);
  • Master CAD software (Solidedge / SolidWorks  is an asset);
  • Knowledge of industry standards: CSA, UL, NEMA, NFPA, ISA ;



  • Able to work under pressure and efficiently;
  • Ability to manage priorities;
  • Autonomy & initiative;
  • Bilingual;
