ELECTRICAL PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Tasks & responsibilities; 

  • Read and interpret electrical drawings for machinery;
  • Plan and assign work to the electrical panel assembler team;
  • Manage team performance;
  • Ensure a good division of labor between team members;
  • Respect the production schedule;
  • Order missing parts to the purchasing department;
  • Download programming for PLC, HMI, and controllers for machine standards;
  • Execute corrections or adjustments to machine wiring;
  • Participate in the final testing of equipment and execute changes on electrical drawings;
  • Supports the engineering and production departments in electrical testing as well as start-up and troubleshooting as required;
  • Execute corrections or adjustments to machine wiring;
  • Provide assistance to the service department when dealing with an electrical problem;
  • Inform the Production Coordinator of all problems that occurred;
  • Train new employees;
  • All other related tasks;

 

Requirements :

  • DEC / BAC in electrical engineering ;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an electrical designer in a manufacturing environment;
  • Experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment;
  • Master the interpretation  and design of electrical drawings;
  • Good knowledge of electrical control components: PLC, HMI, Variable speed and servo drives, pressure sensor, temperature sensor, inductive and position sensor (eg ABB, Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemens etc);
  • Bilingual French and English written and spoken;
  • Be able to program PLC (an asset);
  • Master CAD software (Solidedge is an asset);
  • Master Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.);
  • Experience with ERP/MRP software;
  • Knowledge of industry standards: CSA, UL, NEMA, NFPA, ISA ;
